iMpatient — Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
iMpatient™ ("iMpatient", "we", "us", "our") is a productivity app operated by SymbAIo Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, with its corporate mailing address at 1401 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 105, Wilmington, DE 19806, USA, and an operating presence at Level 13, 50 Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, QLD 4217, Australia.
iMpatient helps people get a little of their time back by organizing patterns across three areas of life — personal, work, and health — and returning them as foresight.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at policy@symbaio.io.
2. Scope
This policy covers the iMpatient app (iOS, Android, and the web app at app.impatient.app) and our marketing site at impatient.app. It explains what we collect, why, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Cookies Policy.
3. Information we collect
You give us
- Account information — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Onboarding and in-app inputs — the information you choose to enter about your personal life, work, and health, including mood, goals, routine, and the life-area details you share.
- Messages to Alph.read™ — the questions and messages you send to our in-app assistant.
- Support communications — anything you send us when you contact support.
From connected services (only if you choose to connect them)
- Health and wellness data — if you connect a service such as Withings (and, on our roadmap, other wearables), we receive only the metrics you authorize (for example sleep, heart-rate variability, and activity). iMpatient reads this data to surface patterns; it does not write back to those services. You can disconnect at any time.
- Calendar and schedule data — if you connect a calendar, we read event timing to help anticipate the shape of your day.
Collected automatically
- Usage and device data — app interactions, device type, operating system, and similar technical data used to operate and improve the app and to diagnose problems.
- Crash and performance data — diagnostic logs via Sentry.
iMpatient does not collect precise or coarse location in this version.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for cross-app advertising or tracking.
4. Sensitive information
Some information you choose to provide or connect — including health-related data — is sensitive information under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and special-category data under the EU/UK GDPR. We collect and process it only with your consent, only to provide the app's pattern and foresight features to you, and never to make medical decisions.
iMpatient is a productivity tool, not a medical, health, or diagnostic service. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. You can withdraw consent by disconnecting sources or deleting your account (see Section 9).
5. How we use your information
- To provide the core service — index patterns across personal, work, and health, and return them to you as foresight.
- To power Alph.read™ responses to your messages.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the app.
- To communicate with you about your account, service changes, and (with your consent) product updates.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We rely on the following GDPR legal bases: consent (sensitive data, connected health sources, marketing), performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for), and legitimate interests (security, diagnostics, product improvement) where these are not overridden by your rights.
We do not use your health-related data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
6. How your information is shared
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers / subprocessors who operate the app on our behalf, under contract and confidentiality:
- Apple Inc. — app distribution and platform services.
- Anthropic, PBC — generates Alph.read™ responses from the messages you send. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models by default under its commercial terms.
- Supabase Inc. — backend hosting, database, and authentication.
- Sentry — crash and performance diagnostics.
- Withings SAS — source of health data when you connect a Withings device (optional, user-authorized).
- Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice as required by law.
A current list of subprocessors is available on request at policy@symbaio.io.
7. Where your data is stored
Your information may be processed in Australia and the United States. If you connect a Withings device, your authorized health data may also be processed in France by Withings SAS. Where personal information leaves your country, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards with our service providers.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (for example, limited transaction records held for tax or audit purposes). See our Account Deletion Policy.
9. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access, correct, or export your personal information.
- Delete your account and data — directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by contacting policy@symbaio.io.
- Disconnect any connected service at any time.
- Withdraw consent for sensitive-data processing or marketing.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (APPs), the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Canada's PIPEDA, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local regulator (in Australia, the OAIC). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Age requirement
iMpatient is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use iMpatient. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us information, contact policy@symbaio.io and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect your information and to notify you and regulators of breaches as required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
