iMpatient — Cookies Policy
1. About this policy
This Cookies Policy explains how SymbAIo Inc. ("iMpatient", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing site (impatient.app) and web app (app.impatient.app). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Our mobile apps (iOS and Android) generally do not use browser cookies, but may use comparable technologies such as local storage and mobile SDKs for the same purposes described here. How those work is covered in our Privacy Policy and the App Store / Google Play privacy disclosures.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. "Similar technologies" include pixels, local storage, and software development kits (SDKs) that perform comparable functions.
3. The cookies we use today (v1.0)
In this first release, iMpatient uses only strictly-necessary cookies on its web surfaces. We do not currently use analytics cookies, preference cookies, or advertising cookies.
| Category | What it's for | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, session management, security (CSRF protection), and remembering your cookie choices. The site cannot function properly without these. | No — exempt under the ePrivacy / PECR rules |
| Preferences | Not used in v1.0. | — |
| Analytics | Not used in v1.0. We rely on Apple App Analytics and Google Play Console aggregates only; neither sets cookies on our domains. | — |
| Advertising / cross-site tracking | We do not use these. iMpatient does not run advertising cookies and does not sell data for cross-site tracking. | — |
4. Specific cookies
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
session_id | iMpatient (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in | Session |
csrf_token | iMpatient (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Security — request-forgery protection | Session |
cookie_consent | iMpatient (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie preferences | 12 months |
If we add any non-essential cookies in a future release, we'll update this page and ask for your consent before setting them.
5. Third parties
We do not currently permit third-party cookies on our web surfaces. Where we add a third-party provider in the future (for example, an analytics or error-monitoring provider on our marketing site), that provider's own privacy terms will also apply, we'll update this page first, and any non-essential cookies will be opt-in.
6. How to control cookies
- On our site: non-essential cookies are off by default. If we add any in the future, the "Cookie Preferences" control in the footer will let you accept or reject them at any time.
- In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
- "Do Not Track": because there is no consistent industry standard for Do-Not-Track signals, our site does not currently respond to them. You can still control cookies using the methods above.
7. Consent
In regions that require it (including the UK and EU under the ePrivacy / PECR rules and the GDPR), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can withdraw it at any time. Strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent. In v1.0 we use only strictly-necessary cookies, so no consent prompt is shown.
8. Changes
We will update this policy when our use of cookies changes, and we'll revise the "Last updated" date above.
